Justice Journey 2022
In support of the Youth Bike Summit, we launched the Justice Journey in October 2020, and it was a national series of local bike rides focused on youth engagement and racial equity. The first Justice Journey event took place on October 31, 2020 in Brunswick, GA with a ride in honor of Ahmaud Arbery! From 2020-2021, with support from People for Bikes, Justice Journey grants ($500) were awarded to organizations across the country to host Justice Journey events for young people.

How it worked:
We energized the down time between the 2019 Summit and the 2022 Summit by encouraging more young people to ride bikes, and raise awareness about racial inequity in the US.
We invited youth cycling organizations, clubs, and programs to submit a route for inclusion in the Justice Journey series. The following organizations submitted applications and were submitted and approved for a Justice Journey mini grant:
